At the centre of Seminyak’s buzzing main strip (Kayu Aya Street), nestled between the rows or shops, bars and restaurants you will find this hidden gem. With it’s inconspicuous exterior, it is easy to walk straight past, so keep your eyes pealed because you don’t want to miss this place.
As I walked in , I found this place hip and trendy and in contrast to what I had envisioned when imagined Indonesian eateries to be like. It set up gave me the feeling of being in a London or New York coffee shop with cool interiors, quirky detailing and an abundance of creative touches.
My table was upstairs which provided me a nice aerial view of the rest of the shop below
The menu was nicely varied with my favourite kinds of breakfast (aka anything with avocado and eggs), lunch and dinner options included both western and Indonesian dishes. Although I am an advocate for trying local food when travelling, my best efforts couldn’t keep my avocado addiction at bay. My friend on the other hand displayed better self control and ordered the Mie Goreng ( A typical balinese noodle dish).
Along with the food, came our drinks which were equally delicious - especially the coffee. As far as coffees go, it was one of the best I have ever tried.
From the food to the drinks, from the decor to the free wifi this place is a nice hideaway from the high-street mayhem. I would highly recommend this place and the reasonable price tag is of course a bonus. I loved it so much that we visited this place again for lunch (and especially for the coffee) the next day!
