About: Passionate about running & writing
Why did you decide to travel? Apologies for sounding wanky, but... I love exploring and I love telling stories. I want to experience as much as I can too and I want to enjoy and appreciate life as much as I can.
Where do you come from? North Yorkshire, England
Where do you want to go next? South America
What is your number one tip for travelling? Write a diary
What has been your biggest challenge to overcome? The initial quitting the job and booking the flights
What do you miss about home? Tea, clean clothes, bed, fruit bowl
What have you learned about yourself? If I'm really tired I can actually be a heavy sleeper. (I'm sure if you ask me again in 4 months I will have a deeper answer. But it's only been 3 weeks).
Favourite Quote? Feel the fear and do it anyway.
But my fave one so far from the trip is from a girl who I have become good friends with. She said: "I'm scared that when I go home, I'll never be this happy again"
Favourite new thing? (i.e. food you have tried, skill, tradition, place) BUNGY JUMPING
What advice would you give to other girls wanting to travel? Don't bring too many cosmetics, pluck up the courage and just say 'hello' to people in the hostels and don't waste money on wifi unless it's urgent. Embrace the break from it all!
