About: I studied human geography at the University of Exeter.
Why did you decide to travel? I have always loved to travel and that is one of the reasons I chose to study geography at University - new places, people and cultures has always really fascinated me. This time I decided that I wanted to go for a bit longer with my best friends whilst we all had the time after graduating. I am really not ready to face the reality of a full time job just yet!
Where do you come from? Hertfordshire, UK
Where do you want to go next? We are heading in to Asia next - quick stop in Singapore before a few weeks in Indonesia and Burma!
What is your number one tip for travelling? My number one tip is to do and try as much as you can - if you can afford it! I really have spent a lot of money but I have been white water rafting, sky diving, swimming with dolphins and I have done a bunjy jump and a canyon swing - you will make the money back one day and you don't want to regret not making the most of these amazing opportunities!
What has been your biggest challenge to overcome? I think the biggest challenge for me was being away from my boyfriend. I didn't want to be the girl that was crying over a boy and the one that was constantly trying to find wifi! It has been a lot easier than expected and time does go very quickly so definitely don't let a boy put you off!
What do you miss about home? I miss my bed! I am a sleep walker and talker so moving around hostels and sleeping in new places is not ideal for me! A good nights sleep in my big double bed would be great.
What have you learnt about yourself? I have learnt that I can do most things when I put my mind to it! I did the third highest bunjy jump in the world and I was so so nervous but it honestly was the best thing I have ever done. I have also learnt that I have the worst sense of direction - thank god I am travelling with friends or I would be lost half of the time...
Favourite Quote? Let your smile change the world, but don’t let the world change your smile
Favourite new thing? (i.e. food you have tried, skill, tradition, place) My favourite new thing would have to be white water rafting - so much fun!
What advice would you give to other girls wanting to travel? 100% you have to go! You are never going to regret it and at the end of the day if you don't enjoy it, home is always only one plane journey away! You will meet so many new and lovely people on the way - it's an experience that you are never going to forget!
